ADJUST ACCORDINGLY
A shootout, our core program, is free for everyone, and it begins with a three point warmup of 27 shots—five shots at each of the five spots around the arc (corners, wings, top of the key) with two deep-range shots. The final round consists of 100 consecutive shots, twenty at each spot.
REPETITION
Accountability is important. All participants are encouraged to rebound, pass, and shoot. When rebounding we also share the responsibility of scorekeeping. Counting engages the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex—regions involved in memory, attention, and executive function—enhancing recall and concentration.
Music plays point at all our programs, supporting emotional and psychological well-being. Music feels good—triggering the release of dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins. It can also lower cortisol levels, reduce heart rate, and ease tension. The right song at the right time can inspire connection, instigate change, and help you find your rhythm.
Each participant shoots 27 balls from five spots positioned around the arc—corners, wings, top of the key. Each spot will receive four regular balls worth one point and one “money ball” worth two points. Participants also select one spot to be their “all money ball” spot, where all five balls are worth two points. In addition, two deep-range shots are placed between the wing and top-of-the-key spots, each worth three points. Participants aim to score as many points as possible, with a maximum of 40 points per round.
